“We would highly recommend Connect. Our dog has been attending sessions since she was a puppy. We started with one-to-one puppy sessions which were really helpful as you get personalised training and advice for your dog and your situation. Hazel then started going to Stay and Play sessions once a week which are ideal if you have an energetic and sociable dog as it gives them an outlet but also they get training around other dogs and distractions. Hazel absolutely loves the sessions and gets so excited when the team arrive to pick her up. We’ve also done Agility sessions which again are great for training around distractions and are also good fun. We’ve seen big improvements in Hazel’s focus around distractions. Overall, great sessions offered by a lovely, friendly team and we would definitely recommend.”
FAQ’s
What does my dog's day consist of?
Your dog will be collected and taken to our Adventure Dog Park, where they are exercised and trained in small, friendly groups. Each month at School for Dogs we introduce a new focus — dogs work together as a group and also receive individual attention. Sessions cover a range of skills including recall, engagement, and loose lead walking, as well as fun activities like trick training and agility.
All owners receive videos, photos, and step-by-step instructions from the day, so you can follow along at home if you wish. At the end of the session, your dog is dropped back home happy, well-exercised, and ready for a good rest!
Do you offer a Pick Up and Drop Back service?
Yes, we offer both pick up and drop back at a small additional charge. Please check your location with us — we can usually collect within 12 miles of Whimple and Exeter. We currently also pick up from Exmouth, Ottery St Mary, and Cullompton.
Can Reactive Dogs Join Dog School?
The first step for a reactive dog is to join one of our specialist reactive dog programmes — please see our Reactivity Boot Camp section for more details. We do have many dogs who are now confident, weekly members of our Dog School who were once reactive, and who have worked through our programmes before joining the school.
Where are you located?
Our training centre is based in the beautiful countryside in Whimple, just 10 minutes from Pinhoe, Exeter and 10 minutes from Cranbrook.
