Dog Agility Frisbee (1)

We are excited to welcome you to our Adventure Play & Day Training Centre in Whimple, Exeter. From our Agility park, to our very own sniffari, your dogs are sure to have maximum fun whilst in our care!

We have detailed below, all the information you need to know regarding what your dogs will get up to on a day at the park, plus details of our LIMITED day-training spaces & price list!

Please see below, full details and please LET US KNOW which option and days of the week you WOULD LIKE to RESERVE for your dog(s)!

Adventure Stay & Play...

This option is for dogs who will be in our care for the most part of the day and will be exercised, socialised and given mental stimulation from our play areas, countryside setting and scent work.

Dogs will be picked up (or dropped off by owners) between 9:30-11am

Dogs will firstly be exercised in our private country fields in small groups, where they will have off lead play, then taken back to our Adventure play area for socialisation and play with doggie friends, carefully matched by our trainers and behaviour practitioner. The paddocks will also have lots of areas to explore including agility equipment, climbing and digging!

Each dog will have individual breaks in our Sniffari! Our enclosed scent work area, where dogs can chill and do what they love to do best – SNIFF! They will also have one to one time and attention with one of the team.

Dogs will be monitored by our experienced team throughout the day and offered rest and breaks when required.

13:00-14:30 dogs will be returned home and settled, ready for you to come home to a happy, exercised and content dog. We also know the importance of calming dogs down and helping them relax, so we have the option of our Kong refill service (please see below).

Adventure Day Train Service...

This option is for owners who want that bit extra for their dogs – to get the reps in on their training and for us trainers to do all the hard work for whilst your are busy at work! We welcome to you, our Day Train Service!

Our Day Train dogs will have the same level of exercise as our adventure park dogs, the socialisation will be unique for each dog and their individual needs – maybe your dog needs work on focusing on you around other dogs, or recall away from other dogs, or walking nicely on lead around other dogs – these are all things we can work on for you in our day train sessions.

Following morning exercise, day train dogs will have a total of 1 hour of training with our trainers. This will be split into either 2 x 30 minute sessions, or 3 x 20 minute sessions – depending on the dog and its learning capacity.

One of our trainers or behaviour practitioner will work on either your current training plan if you are currently working with either Kerry or Nikita, or we will set you up a new one. This could be for loose lead walking, recall, cool heelwork to show off to your friends, or things like impulse control! This will be away from the other dogs in a secure paddock, sessions will be recorded for you to receive updates of your dog’s progress, as well as a voice note by your trainer with comments on your dog’s progress of the day!

Me and my partner approached Connect Behaviour to further our training for our Labrador puppy. The adolescent group training has really helped with general obedience as well as socialisation. The trainers are always happy to give advice/help with any queries. We have recently had a 1:2:1 with Kerry and have noticed fantastic results in such a short space of time. Not only has our lab learnt a lot, we as owners have too! 100% recommend 🐾

We have been working with Nikita from Connect Behaviour since our puppy was nine weeks old and she has done wonders for us. Bear is really receptive to the training and Nikita is fantastic at giving us tips and guiding us through all the training so we have an obedient but very happy dog. We are so impressed that we have signed up to the adolescent classes that are being run by Connect to keep her well socialised and ensure her good behaviour continues into those teenage years 🙂

We found Connect on the Web and booked sessions easily. The trainer, Nikita, has been briiliant and she has taught our Jack Russell pup Alfie masses. The methods are fantastic and Nikita really gets the best from the dog, and us! Alfie has great fun during the sessions and Nikita keeps him engaged and learning for the whole time. We can't recommend Connect highly enough.

Finished my puppy's Stage 1 training and ongoing with 1-1. Would definitely recommand connect behaviours as they are very professional and really helpful. Kerry is really nice and always very patient to answer questions and doing very well on my puppy's tranining. My Puppy loves her. And Nikita working on my puppy's 1-1 now is also a very good trainer and helped me find the best way to train my puppy and make him happy. I'll also consider the next stage training once finish the 1-1! It's really worth trying with reasonable price on such great sevice! !

Have been lucky enough to have a couple of 1:1 sessions, and complete the adolescent puppy training classes with Kerry, and we are so pleased we have! The difference in our Sprocker is clear for all to see. Kerry is very knowledgeable, after being very nervous Luna now can’t wait to see Kerry at the training classes! We’ve managed to transform bedtimes and seen a significant decrease in her resource guarding. Highly recommend Kerry and Connect Training, only wish we’d found her sooner !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really enjoyed participating in the adolescent course with connect behaviour. Both me and my dog learnt lots and as a first time dog owner I feel much more comfortable/confident in handling and training her. The sessions all felt well planed out and everyone had a really positive and patient mindset towards the classes. I would really recommend it to anyone with a young dog who is a bit unsure on how to teach the basics and also for the socialisation aspect. I’m looking forward to taking my dog onto the next stage with Kerry and her team!

I have undertaken 1:1 training with Kerry and also attended a beginner adolescence group class. It was very easy for both me and my pup to build a great rapport with Kerry. Both the class and 1:1 sessions were brilliant. Kerry has given me confidence in being a canine parent. She is very knowledgeable and provided me with the technique and skills to continue with training independently although I will be booking more 1:1 for sure!! Could recommend highly enough.

Just finished puppy classes with Kerry. We had an amazing journey and have come so far . I believe Everyone in the group had a positive experience and the puppies have grown into their best selves.

I needed help with a rescue Doberman, who had been attacked only 6 months after adoption. He became lead reactive and as an owner, I needed guidance and training in order to improve both our lives!

Kerry from Connect Behaviour provided 1:1 training at our home. We worked on his relationship with other dogs, understanding body language in dogs and giving me and him the confidence to be able to enjoy walks again.

We also worked on relaxed lead walking and tips on how to manage different situations. Chester is now a happy confident dog and we even were able to sit in a pub garden next to other dogs and have him relax!

I would highly recommend Kerry and her team at Connect Behaviour.

FAQ’s

Is my dog too old for training?

Never, a dog is never too old for training, the same as it is never for us humans to learn and enjoy something new!

We work with dogs aged from 8 weeks old to 8 years old (PLUS), including rescue dogs and overseas rescues, you might have heard the expression “you can’t teach old dogs new tricks” we are here to prove to you that this is definitely incorrect!!

Should I book 1:1 or Group Classes?

1-2 -1’s are tailored to you and your dog as individuals. During a 1-2-1 we can work on specific areas of training that you would like to work on such as loose lead walk, recall, obedience training, help with a behaviour issue like dog to dog aggression, reactivity or anxiety.

Can you support me with more than one dog?

Of course! Your sessions are yours to use how you wish to use them 😊

Where does the training take place?

We can come to you or we are happy to meet you at one of our training locations.

It can be varied from meeting you at home, great if you have any issues around the house, or we can accompany you on your daily walk, wherever that may be, this can include places that are more distracting or less distracting areas.

How do I book?

If you would like to proceed with one of our classes, please give us a call on 01392 244003 / 07957168099 or email connectbehaviourdog@gmail.com to see what spaces we have available!
