Agility & Hoopers Agility

Agility is a great way to keep both dog and owner fit whilst having a great time. These sports stimulate your dog both physically and mentally (what a result!)

We are true believers that a working dog needs a job! Dogs were bred to with purpose, and they want to fulfil it… what was your dog bred to do?

Dog Agility Jump

“Agility is a fun dog sport where handlers direct their dogs around obstacles which include a range of jumps, tunnels & obstacles!”

What is Agility I hear you ask?
Agility is a fun dog sport where handlers direct their dogs around obstacles which include a range of jumps, tunnels, and contact obstacles like an A-Frame and sea-saw!

Why is this good for my dog?
Agility is a great way to give your dog the physical and mental exercise they so need. We often find dogs that have too much pent up energy, who are maybe not given an outlet for their intelligence and energy levels, get bored and maybe turn to some unwanted behaviour (like chewing your new designer shoes).

Whether you want to tire your dog out, would like to join a new sport where you can compete with your dog (whilst building an excellent bond), have interest in agility or if you simply want to come along for fun… Why not give it a go?

“After taking Freya to the Adolescent dog classes and seeing how much of an improvement in her focus and concentration around other dogs it made, I really didn’t want to stop there.

Kerry had lots of options for other classes we could go onto so we picked agility as we thought it would suit Freya’s high energy behaviour and would be a bit of fun. Meg who runs the agility classes was brilliant and such confidence giver.

After learning the basics for the first couple of weeks we started going onto mini courses and it was great to see all the dogs have fun and put their minds to work!

By the end of the course all the dogs could go through the tunnels, over the jumps and know their lefts and rights and we often found that it was us owners making the mistakes instead of the dogs so it’s a great bit of mental stimulation for yourself 😁

Can’t recommend Connect Behaviour classes enough as they’re fun, relaxed but definitely show great results. Looking forward to going on to the progression agility soon!”
